Field of application:

For volume-based dosing and filling of light bulk materials (e.g. polystyrene balls).

Mode of operation:

The bulk material is filled into a funnel at the top (can also be filled out of a big bag). A pneumatically controlled gate valve after the feed funnel prevents the material from falling through when the product is changed or the desired volume is adjusted.
A second, height-adjustable middle slide gate is set to the desired volume on a shifting and guiding unit and secured with clamping screws.
A lower slide gate with discharge spout (optionally with cones to reduce the filling tube diameter) closes the dosing unit. During dosing, the middle and lower slide valves are then opened and closed alternately via foot valves - the dosed quantity of bulk material falls directly into the cushion casing via a filling spout by gravity without additional blown air - this keeps electrostatic charges low, which would otherwise be much higher with blower conveying. The working height at the lower slider can be adjusted between 0.75 and 1.75 m (for long covers such as nursing pillows, a standing working position is advantageous).
